KUMAY was founded in Taiwan in 2016 by ATHOX SPORTS COMPANY with a simple belief:
Better performance begins with better design.
The name KUMAY is inspired by the Formosan black bear—Taiwan's most iconic native animal. Strong, resilient, and calm under pressure, it represents the kind of strength we admire: quiet confidence rather than unnecessary attention.
Our logo combines the silhouette of a bear with a white "V" across its chest, symbolizing stability, determination, and continuous progress.

The name ATHOX is inspired by the giant Athos from Greek mythology, representing the courage to challenge convention rather than simply follow it. From the beginning, our goal has never been to copy what already exists. Instead, we question assumptions, study real training problems, and build equipment around practical solutions.
